Melissa + Greg’s Hyatt Lake Tahoe Wedding was one for the storybooks. Their wedding day was a modern day fairytale, filled with smoke bombs, confetti cannons and a first dance choreographed straight from Dirty Dancing. Though, they had to leave their beloved pup at home, they were able to give tribute to her with customized cocktail napkins and cocktail stirrers. Their welcome prayer left all eyes in the room full of tears, with a heartfelt thank you to their friends and families. It included a special thank you to Melissa’s cousin who had donated his kidney to her just the year before. As if all the fun and small details surrounding their big day weren’t enough fun, they were truly one of the most joyous and genuinely kind couples we’ve had the pleasure of working with. The love that they share for one another truly mirrors fairytale romances. We’ve compiled some of our favorite highlights below!
The Hyatt Regency, Lake Tahoe Resort was the perfect backdrop for such an occasion. Vintage rentals came from Botanica Events, while tables were draped in linens from La Tavola. Taryn of Twinkle + Toast calligraphed beautiful blue and gold watercolor paper goods. Red Carpet Event designed floral elements, as well as produced lighting and draping inside the ballrooms. They chose to hire an electric violinist to play alongside their DJ, keeping guests on the dance floor all night.
Personal touches included watercolor cocktail napkins with an image of their fur-baby, Hannah, who sadly could not attend the event. Their guestbook was a beautiful Artifact Uprising lay flat photo album, with photos from their engagement session. The Hyatt’s bakery designed a beautiful blue + gold tiered cake to match the paper suites.
Melissa + Greg’s wedding day was so full of love of and joy. We couldn’t have considered ourselves more fortunate to play such a large role in their special day. Cheers to the happy couple!
